Inspection & Testing

Because of the demands of the Electricity at Work Regulations (1989), Insurance Companies and Health and Safety have placed on all building owners, employers and occupiers, Melcon has developed a team of highly experienced and trained Inspection and Testing Engineers.

Melcon's Inspecting and Testing objective is to provide reassurance and documented evidence so that our clients have peace of mind, We work alongside clients to ensure that their electrical installations, upon which they rely, are sound, safe and will not let them down at a critical time.

As well as fully testing, inspecting and certifying all our own installations working on the current I.E.E. regulations, Melcon also carries out testing and inspections in varied environments and to exact specification details, if you need assistance in detailing the requirements of your inspection and testing we can cover the full detail and advise at all levels.

As well as Periodic Inspection and Testing Melcon also fully documents all it's own work to the current requirements of BS7671 and the NICEIC, all installations are certified under either an installation certificate or relevant minor works certificate.

Portable Appliance Testing is also undertaken by ourselves, full certification and documentation is issued via our computer linked PAT Tester.

As part of the PAT packages we offer we can undertake the management of the system via our in house database where we keep on record your asset list and will inform you in plenty of time so that a convenient time can be agreed for re-test, therefore ensuring that you are never at risk from not complying with the current regulations.
